About my project

The main goal of the project is to better understand how proteins and enzymes, that are all around us, work in detail. Thanks to that, it will be possible to improve them in order to later use them as a stroke therapeutic or an effective compound improving the current level of environmental pollution.

Where I see myself in my career in 10 years

After I finish my Ph.D., I would like to broaden my professional knowledge abroad at one of the prestigious institutions in the field of life sciences. But in 10 years, I see myself back in the Czech Republic where I would like to lead my own research group or an important Czech biotechnology company. Thanks to that, it will be possible to use the gained know-how to raise the level of Czech science among the whole world and at the same time, to grow future generations of top-level scientists.

What I like most about Brno

Brno is a great city because it’s perfectly big for having everything you need around you (including a perfect scientific base) and at the same time, it’s perfectly small for reaching any place in minutes and not to live too “anonymously”.
