About the project
This research project investigates whether pupillometry can provide sensitive biomarkers for the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases, with a primary focus on dementia with Lewy bodies. By developing standardized analytical methods, examining pupil responses during cognitive tasks, and integrating pupillometry with MRI and EEG measures, the project aims to identify disease-specific patterns that could contribute to earlier diagnosis.
Why science?
For me, science is a way to explore the world while applying critical thinking to every discovery. I have always been fascinated by how the brain works, and applied neuroscience gives me the opportunity to conduct research that can make a real difference in people’s lives.
What do I like most about Brno
What I like most about Brno is how it brings together different fields, disciplines, and communities. I appreciate the city’s academic culture, where researchers are encouraged to exchange ideas across disciplines. The city also provides excellent facilities to bring science closer to the broader public.
