HIGH-ENTROPY CERAMIC MATERIALS MANUFACTURING AND CHARACTERISATION

Lector: Václav Pouchlý

Institution: Brno University of Technology, CEITEC VUT

Field: Advanced Materials and Nanosciences

About the project

My project is dedicated to studies of properties of new group of ceramic materials called HEOs (high entropy oxides). These materials are characterized by improved stability, which compared to materials used currently, shows itself in improved wear resistance, improved electrical conduction/superconduction, possibility of increasing capacity and prolonging lifespan of batteries etc.

Why science?

For me, the most interesting thing about the science and the research is the opportunity, even necessity, to work on my theoretical, as well as practical knowledge constantly. Working in science also gives a possibility to attend international conferences and internships, which is useful for acquiring new cooperations and gives a chance to travel and to learn about new countries and cultures.

What do I like most about Brno

Brno offers a lot of opportunities for education, career, entertainment and is located close to Slovakia.
