Towards Efficient, Scalable and Precise Performance Analysis

Lector: prof. Ing. Tomáš Vojnar, Ph.D.

Institution: Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Information Technology

Field: Computer Science and Engineering

About the project

Performance analysis aims to detect non-functional bugs that cause a noticeable slowdown or unavailability of programs or services. However, its usage in practice is typically limited due to the amount of overhead generated by precise analyzers (profilers). In this project, we propose several techniques and methods that strive to improve the efficiency and precision of performance analysis at the same time, thus resulting in a scalable approach usable even for large-scale codebases.

Why science?

I would like to leverage the experience and skills obtained during my Ph.D. study and research activities to help with solving important and difficult issues or problems in the area of IT at some of the leading tech companies or research centers.

What do I like most about Brno

What I like about Brno is the number of interesting and inspiring people - not only in the academic field - that you can meet here.
