We support excellent doctoral students!
The purpose of supporting talented doctoral students is demonstrated by a low financial rating compared to Ph.D. students in advanced EU countries. The competition is intended for outstanding talented students – both Czech and foreign - of the first year of doctoral programmes of Brno universities. The main benefit of the project is the doctoral grant. It has a positive effect for a student in eliminating worries about securing daily living. This gives students the opportunity to fully devote themselves to doctoral studies and scientific work, i.e. to building their professional future.
The reason for the support of education in science and technology is a comprehensive effort to create a suitable place for the development of knowledge economy in accordance with the concentration of corporate development centers and public research institutes in the South Moravian Region.
The competition is open and its rules do not provide for any quota of recipients for partner universities, faculties, or institutes.
The grant is provided by the Brno City Municipality. The project is part of the Regional Innovation Strategy of the South Moravian Region.
The number of scholars who receive supplementary studies and the opportunity to participate in a series of activities promoting career and career growth depend on the amount of the grant.
