Point-of-care biosensing technologies: Impedimetric immunosensor for rapid diagnosis of Lyme disease

The project aims for the development and realization of an innovative immunosensor which will radically simplify current serological diagnoses of Lyme disease. The sensor will employ the classical immunoaffinity interaction on a robust and well-described surface containing non-conductive nanoparticles. The interaction will be monitored using the extremely sensitive electrochemical impedance method. The resulting immunosensor will be fast, cheap, reliable and easy to use.
