The goal of research is to widen the basic knowledge in the field of damage mechanisms in superalloys since it is crucial for development of e. g. advanced aircrafts. The work shall result in proposing specific model of fatigue crack initiation for superalloys either by modifying Polák's model or proposing a new one. Specific goal of the project is to study the localization of the cyclic plastic strain in Inconel 713LC superalloy.
