O mém projektu
Oesophageal adenocarcinoma (OAC) is an aggressive and predominant type of oesophageal cancer. Majority of OAC cases arise from Barrett’s oesophagus caused by bile acid reflux. Molecular mechanisms that drive this transformation remain obscure till date. In this project, I propose to study the role of Lithocholic bile acid in Barrett’s transformation using CRISPR/Cas9-edited Barrett’s cells and by combing whole-proteome and genome-scale gene knockout approaches in pursuit of better therapy.
