Within the proposed project, physical properties of materials based on quantum dots (QDs) for optoelectronic devices are examined. To investigate them, a state-of-the-art combination of first principles band structure and mesoscale calculations will be used to optimize the structures' growth and create single-photon source on Si. Beyond that, it is focused on the electronic structure of novel III-V semiconductor combination studied to be the building blocks for a novel kind of nanomemories.
