O mém projektu
Multicellular organisms consist of cells of various size. However, the cell size regulation remain still unclear even though its defects lead to serious diseases like cancer or infertility. The aim of the project is to clarify the mechanisms of regulation of cell size using mouse embryos and their modifications (e.g. enucleation, reduction of cytoplasm). The experiments will be evaluated by in vitro time-lapse microscopy as well as in vivo implantation of the modified embryos back into the mice.
