Climate changes stimulate the development of breeding methods for thermoresilient crops. This project aims to develop CRISPR-Cas9 methodology for Brassica napus by generating knockout plants in genes related to thermoregulation. Fruit and seed development changes will be monitored in wild type and CRISPR plants in different growing temperatures. Later, CRISPR-Cas9 method can be used for faster and more efficient way how to generate genotypes possibly used in breeding.
