Targeted delivery with controlled drug release is a promising strategy for site-specific therapy resulting in improved clinical outcomes. Drug delivery system (DDS) based on magnetic core encapsulation by biocompatible polyelectrolyte multilayer adsorption can be retained at or guided to the desired site with the help of an external magnetic field of appropriate strength.
