Mendel university is looking for PhD students
After receiving a grant from the 1st Call of the SoMoPro programme, Dr. Jana Krajňakova is currently undertaking research on Mendel university (www.mendelu.cz).The theme of her research is "Development of zygotic and somatic embryos in conifers - from basic studies to practical application". During the project implementation, she has faced a lack of doctoral students that would be interested in her topic of the research.
Currently. there are two topics open for potential doctoral students:
"Bioenergetics of Abies alba somatic embryogenesis"
-to be investigated under a study programme "Phytology" at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel university
and
"The effect of heavy metals on the development of coniferous somatic embryos".
- to be investigated under a study programme "Botanics" at the Faculty of Agronomy, Mendel university
Students will be granted a scholarship for doctoral students from the university. Candidates should be able to show and deep interest in the proposed research topic and be able to communicate in either Czech (Slovak) or English.
