Who can apply

eligibility criteria

  • study full-time at a Partner University
  • be enrolled the 1st year in a doctoral study program at the autumn semester
  • be under the age of 32 years at the time of registration
  • study technical or natural sciences

  • Brno University of Technology (BUT)
  • Masaryk University (MU)
  • Mendel University in Brno (MENDELU)
  • University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno (VFU)

Important: Only those who meet all of the Eligibility Criteria in the autumn semester 2017 may register for the competition. Otherwise you cannot participate.

Seminar for applicants

Seminar for applicants for Brno Ph.D. Talent 2017 took place on 29th August 2017, in Brno. It has provided the applicants possibility to learn how to write an application their best and one of the scholarship holders has shared her experience from preparing the application. The presentation is available HERE, the presentation of the scholarship holder and her experience with writing application is available HERE.

The programme for the finalists of Brno PhD Talent competition 2016 who have not been selected among the scholarship holders.

  • 10 finalists who obtain the most points for research activities, will be granted minimum 10 000 Czech Crowns yearly. The programme is for the period of 3 years.
